.NET 8 is GA'ing in November. We can't just add it to the SDK (even run tests) without dropping net6 mobile targets (see: #2623).
This branch will hold commits that will make it to the release 4.0.0 of the SDK.
We can make breaking changes in PRs that have this branch as base. This branch will not be squashed into
main. And we can make-alphaand-betareleases directly from here.Goals: Build with .NET 8: #2622
