Italian Programmer's Keyboard Layout

🇬🇧 This is a keyboard layout designed for users who prefer the US layout but would still like to type lower- and uppercase accented letters and other symbols found in the Italian layout.

🇮🇹 Questo è un layout pensato per quegli utenti che preferiscono la tastiera americana ma che vorrebbero comunque essere in grado di inserire lettere accentate (sia maiuscole che minuscole) ed altri simboli che si trovano sulla tastiera italiana. Viene incluso anche lo sceva come lettera accentata sul tasto w per la convenienza di chi lo utilizza per indicare una desinenza neutra.

Installation

Windows

If you've already installed a previous version of the layout, you must uninstall it before proceeding with the installation. You may need to restart your computer after uninstalling the layout.

1. Download the kbditp-windows.zip file from the latest release.
2. Uncompress the zip file with your program of choice.
3. Run the setup.exe file.
4. If the layout does not appear in your language list, restart your computer.

Building

Windows

In order to build the keyboard layout for Windows by yourself, you must install the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MSKLC) or another program that is capable of building a keyboard layout DLL from a .klc file.

1. Clone the repository.
2. Launch MSKLC.
3. In the toolbar, select File > "Load Source File..." and pick the .klc file from the repository's src folder.
4. Select Project > "Build DLL and Setup Package".
