Describe the issue

While navigating using keyboard, there is an extra focus stop on a hidden element for all modals. Then focus is going to close button on the top.

I've also noticed the focus on the close button after an update to version 5.3.7.
I tried the example in the docs for setting the focus but that does not change anything. The close button still keeps the focus.
Going back, the first version which works is 5.3.5.
