Class Names for Languages not showing

I am using the fenced-code-blocks extra, but when it generates the HTML, I don't see the class name showing the name of the programming language.

Did you try this

html = markdown2.markdown(YOUR_MARKDOWN_STRING, extras=["fenced-code-blocks", "codehilite"])

and with pygments installed?

Yes, I did but it didnt work. I eventually had to fork it and add the language to the options that gets passed. ie. self.lang
