Max Length for Text Field

HI,

I have atable which has an ID, asocciated ID and Text fields. The text field is used to hold a Base64 string representation for a photo. ON average the string length is 10+ Million characters long.

What is the size limitation of the of the Text field as im just getting NULLS inserted?

I have never tested this plugin with such long string values. Do you see this on Android, iOS, or Windows?

Thanks for the response and for asking. I am marking this as a "documentation" issue and will document this limitation when I get a chance.

I cannot say when I will have a chance to test this. I am giving priority to paid users, please inquire at sales@litehelpers.net for possible support plans.

As a tip, you may want to consider storing the photos in files (using cordova-plugin-file) and keeping the file references stored in the plugin.

This problem has affected me also. When I try to store a base64 string for a photo in a text field, I don't get any errors and a record is inserted. However, when I perform a select on the record, the field that I put the base64 string into in null. Is there any solution or workaround for this?

Has this been tested and/or resolved?

@victordscott and others: the suggested workaround is to simply store each image as a separate file and store the references in the SQLite database. I think this would be more efficient for large images anyway.

@LorenDorez unfortunately I have not had a chance to test this due to some other backlog. I will keep you posted.
