User configuration still not always saved #248

[Related to Issue #231]
The problem addressed in issue #231 is indeed better but is still not fully fixed.
Here's an example case video depicting what happens to me about 10% of the time - Last state not always saved.
The video shows one case, but it happens in other ways as well, causing the last state to be lost and a different file to be displayed on the next session.
