Historical Github Student but Instructor of Record in the Fall #168983

Hi everyone,Hi, I am part of the Student Benefits but will be an Instructor of Record in fall 2026. I would like to use the Teaching Benefits. My understanding (based on this: https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/120051) is that this means I need my current benefits revoked and that I need to re-apply as a teacher. I don't know how to initiate that process beyond asking for it here. Thanks for your time. |

Hi @amarmaduke, Your status has to be reset to be unverified and then apply for teacher benefits. You can submit a support ticket when you're ready, and we can assist in getting you reapproved. You can create a support ticket on this page. Once successfully verified, their benefits will become available within 72 hours. |
