Drive-by review: considering that the overriden profile parameters hadn't been working for a long time I'd be for removing them. Clearly they weren't useful. |

cargo warned about 1) profiles are ignored anywhere but in the top-level manifest 2) the resolver was at version 1, while edition 2021 was implying resolver = "2"
