I see that the branch got stuck here for quite some time:

I was wondering if this will happen in the near future (or if I will have to code much more to have my package compatible with disk frame :/ )

I think we'll have to ask in the PR you linked. I know he made some updates to the NSE mechanisms in disk.frame, but I'm not sure if it gets around the block he mentioned.

Looks like disk.frame has been soft deprecated and won’t be adding any new features.
