speed / compressed tradeoff parameter?

Is there a way to tune attic for lower CPU load at the cost of poorer compression, or vice versa?

@danmbox you can edit the title with the button at the right.

original attic does not (yet) have flexibility there.

I worked on that in my merge-all branch. @jborg said he is also working on it (in a different way).
