Issue when creating new lines

What happened?

Whenever I create a new line it will keep the \ for example:

Whats up

What did you expect to happen?

I expected it to remove that as it can get cluttered and also not to be that person but... Claude Code has it soooo. 😅

Not the same and a lot slower on some keyboards, being able to just click two buttons right next to each other is much more efficient. Also some terminals might not support ALT+ENTER. Its more of a UX thing to be honest. Just makes development more efficient.

Ctrl+J works at Terminal in MacOS.

Not my point, some people are not on MacOS, its about more than just my and your usability. Its simply for more accessibility for everyone using this CLI. Thats all.

what keyboard are you using that it makes clicking ui buttons more efficient?

there is already work being done to list different terminals/os combos #2043

keyboard is always faster than ui especially if you configure macros

As @nrurnru pointed out, Ctrl J is the intended way to create new lines.
