I'd love to address this feature, but cannot justify the development time for the foreseeable future.

@dpi how would you approach this feature? If anyone would start a separate module, how would you recommend to develop the basic architecture?

If an event is full, then it would be nice to put my name on a wait list to take any vacancies if someone else has to cancel.
