Table of contents

The content of Spatial Task View is extensive. Maybe it would be good idea to add a table of contents at the beginning to make it easier to browse?

Great! What do you think about:

1. Move section "Remote sensing" from "Reading and writing spatial data" to "Analyzing spatial data"?
2. Move section "Data processing - specific" directly under "Data processing - general"?

Good points, @kadyb.

1. How about splitting the "remote sensing" into two parts -- keeping the data acquisition packages in the current section (maybe with a slightly different name) and then moving the data analysis tools to the other section?
2. I am fine with that. Perhaps this could be achieved by moving the data cleaning subsection to precede the two you mentioned?

Would you be able to provide a PR for this?

1. I think it would be best to keep the “remote sensing” section as whole (without splitting) to avoid confusion.

Regarding "remote sensing" -- I get your point. But wouldn't it be more fitting in the Handling spatial data section? Most of the packages in that section are related to getting, cleaning, and processing data, and much less to getting any understanding from them...

Good point! My impression was that the "Handling spatial data" section concerns on general spatial data processing regardless of the reseach field (the listed packages have wide range of applications). However, the "Analyzing spatial data" section, in my opinion, focused more on specific areas with selected applications. I don't have strong preference, the final decision is yours!
