I am a backend developer. I use python(FastAPI, Django DRF ). I have recently started learning Rust. I think the best way to learn Rust is to I love Rust compile time memory safety. I just need a django like framework in Rust. But, the documentation seems incomplete and then I noticed that there is even a version one. Then I discovered again that the framework has just been released in 2025 february. So, With all the love from my heart for you all brave developers( who took on the challenge to Create the Rust web framework that a Lazy Django developer can use), IS THERE ANY DATE FOR THE VERSION 1.0.0 ..? |

Hello @abdulkuddusa4, we appreciate your interest in and nice words about Cot! The project is still in its early stages, as you've noticed yourself, it's only few months from the first release. There are still a ton of features we want to implement which will take time, then the framework needs to be used for a while in the ecosystem to discover and fix any bugs, then we need to ensure that everything is stable. We want this to succeed, but it's only a project we're able to work in our free time, so there's a limit in how much we can accomplish ourselves. Having said all of that, I expect that the 1.0.0 will be released at the earliest in one/two years, assuming from the current pace of development. Once we get more community interest and more folks start contributing, that could change for the better! So if you know communities of folks who could contribute, please share a word about Cot! |
