Don't export `position` from Base

Base should not export a function called position (a commonly-used name in many areas) with a very specialised meaning.

I just bumped into this too. Kind of unfortunate.

Edit: I'm curious if there are any thoughts around what to do about this for 2.0 yet.

Is there any chance that v2.0 would allow us to do something like

import Base

so that Base doesn't pollute namespaces at all? In that case, people would be able to make a one line change to their code, i.e.

using Base

and get all the usual stuff if they wanted. Without the ability to import Base, I almost think Base should not export anything by default 🤔

I've gotten into a habit of

import SomePackage
using SomePackage: somemethod

to give me control of what I allow into my namespace and not being able to do this with Base seems a little unfortunate.

Use baremodule if you don't want the Base exports.

Also, position seems to use zero-based indexing.

It's an offset, so that's appropriate.
