Nice. Could also do something like

if isdefined(Base.Sort.Float, :specials2end!)
    using Base.Sort.Float: specials2end!
else
    specials2end!(v, _, o) = Base.Sort.Float.nans2end!(v, o)
end

whatever you prefer
