Does anybody know a way (website or app) to download DRM videos from youtube?

MY DEVICE = Samsung galaxy tab S9
MY OS = Android 14 (NOT rooted)

As the above information says, my device (my ONLY device, so no PC) is a limited android tablet. Before, I used to be able to find (& download) episodes of discontinued TV shows like "Dan vs". It was a long time ago, so it's impossible to remember (exactly) who their channel-user was, but I think that it was something like Paramount or the Hub or something, not just some fan who didn't have permission to upload them. I definitely succeeded in downloading some of them for watching later (using NewPipe).

Now, after deciding to download some of them again, the only channel-user that youtube will confess to having episodes of "Dan vs" is "YouTube Movies & TV". Here's a link to one episode.

The problem with this is that 90% of the apps that I've tried can't even play those videos (& NONE of them can download them, since most of them (seem to) rely on playing a video to find (& therefore download) it, so no playing means no downloading). A few (android) BROWSERS can play those videos, but even they can't download them. I know that youtube is DRM-ing them, which is basically a watermark, so don't bother telling me that part.

So, does anybody know a way (website or (android) app) to download DRM videos from youtube? It has to work on an UN-rooted android tablet (see top of post). As for why my tablet is not rooted, I don't have a PC (I wouldn't be putting up with android's limitations if I did), simple as that. & anybody who thinks that they can root an android device like mine without a PC, post a video that proves it.

If you can watch the content in PipePipe, then you can download it.
If you can't, I'd recommend check it in yt-dlp (or Seal on Android)

I would've checked on (& replied) to this topic sooner, but 'my' WIFI (read = public library) took 2 days off (even though MLK day is only one day long) to demonstrate how much they hate being a public anything.

Anyway, both NewPipe & PipePipe released updated versions, so after I updated both of them, I tested them on the following 3 URL's for the example video that I used in my first post. I forgot to mention this in my first post, but underneath the title of all of the "Dan vs" episodes is the phrase "Free with ads" (which tells me that youtube doesn't understand what 'free' means). I mention it so that it's understood that the fact that most video downloading websites (& android apps) that can't even play any videos from the channel-user "YouTube Movies & TV" are not being prevented from doing so because of a paywall, but because they just don't handle youtube's DRM scheme.

I'm logged in to my youtube account in PipePipe. Both NewPipe & PipePipe (including their latest versions) are unable to even display the video's thumbnail, so they can't play (or download) it either. Instead, they show a sad face image & a message that says "Sorry, something went wrong". The 3rd URL is one that one of my browsers shows me if I try to play videos from that channel-user in mobile mode (which it fails to play), so I switch it desktop mode, & then it can play it with the 3rd URL.

According to it's reddit, yt-dlp doesn't even try to download DRM protected videos (because it can't decrypt them). As for Seal, I tried it just now, but it can't play or download it either.

Can PipePipe be given the option to switch between mobil mode & desktop mode (& back again) when free videos show that type of response? If that option was added, it might allow PipePipe to play (& download) such videos. As an alternative, (android) Chrome can at least play those videos (I tested it), so maybe their method could be added to PipePipe? I've read that browsers that can at least play those videos are limited to 1080p as their maximum resolution, but that just happens to be my personal preference for maximum (video) resolution, so that wouldn't be a problem for me.

Simply put, DRM is a complex, proprietary encryption, and so far the community still doesn't have an effective decryption solution. Therefore, implementing their playback in PipePipe or any third-party clients is almost impossible. The reason Chrome can play it is because you are playing on YouTube Web, and YouTube itself knows how to decode its own DRM.
