Layout improvement idea

Hello colleagues,

I observed a layout issue while working through Tutorial https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/hana-cloud-alerts.html. I assume this issue is a general one and not only relating to the linked tutorial.

When working on one monitor, e.g., 27" for me right now, I would like to put the tutorial to the left half of the screen and another browser window to the right half of the screen where I apply the steps of the tutorial on my system.

When putting the mentioned tutorial to the left, the browser window covers half of my screen which would be good if the agenda menu would not occupy a third of it.

My ask is to either put the agenda to the top of the training inline with the content or make the agenda configurable, e.g., hide/unhide button or something similar so we can use the whole browser window size from left to right.

Hi @Kiemes - we appreciate your feedback. The layout is designed to be responsive, so if you narrow the Tutorial browser window enough, the navigation sidebar will be pushed to the bottom of the page. Of course, that does narrow the overall main section, too -- but you might give that a try and see if it gets you closer to the layout you want.

Thanks @rbrainey. That tip helped, but it's not the best user experience and you would need to add that as text on the tutorial as like me, people might not even think about this.

Actually narrowing the window from the regular half-screen one more pixel, it looks good.
Maybe you have some defaults of the responsive design you could adjust? Half of the screen is 1265 px wide and if I go to 1264, it looks as requested. I don't have a special overall resolution. It's one of the most common 2560x1440 (QHD).
