I need to upgrade Poetry from 1.2.2 to the latest version 2.1.3

I have several projects using Poetry 1.2.2, and I would like to move all of them to Poetry 2.1.3. I would like to have a detailed list of steps to follow correctly so that I can complete this task smoothly in all my projects.

One doubt I have is whether I should remove the existing lock file before installing all the dependencies again with the new version of Poetry.

That is not necessary. Nevertheless, I would run poetry lock and commit the lock file to just update the lock file format (without updating the dependencies) so that there is less diff if you update dependencies in the future.
