Good morning, I'm blind, and I've been using copillot in vscode, along with the NVDA screen reader. It happens that, when opening a java class and starting to type, I hear a sound from the extension informing that there is a suggestion, but I don't have a shortcut or command for the reader to read the suggestion. I can only see what it is, when I press tab or when I press high + enter. If anyone can help, I appreciate it! |

Best regards. I am writing to you to ask you to incorporate an accessible mechanism for resolving the IconCaptcha, taking into account that many web pages have been adopting this Captcha system, but unfortunately, when you designed the current Captcha you did not take into account users with disabilities. visually and with low vision that we are registered on web pages that are using the IconCaptcha to carry out various activities and with this action they are violating the law of universal accessibility. That is why on behalf of many visually impaired users of internet pages who consume this service, I request that you immediately make this improvement allowing you to overcome an audio challenge such as the one that exists to change the password on this website or generate accessibility cookies, so that the service you provide with the IconCaptcha is an inclusive service and adjusted to the legislation to which every website must be subject. I hope you will work on this solution immediately and thank you in advance for your attention. |

I recently saw a post on LinkedIn about the new, more accessible github.com experience. It's clear that sincere effort is being made here, but there are still opportunities for improvement, particularly for screen reader users. I've started to document these. See attachment for part 1. Includes opportunities within:
2025-03-github-dot-com-a11y-opportunities.pdf Note: It looks like React Native is being used, which in my view is a little trickier than React web to coax into delivering more accessible web experience. I don't think anything I've surfaced so far is unachievable, though. |
