Delay in Accessing Student Developer Pack Benefits

Hi everyone,

I recently applied for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, and my application was approved. However, it's been a few days since the approval, and I haven't yet gained access to the associated benefits. The status page still indicates there’s a waiting period.

Has anyone else experienced a similar delay, and is there anything I can do to expedite the process? Or is it just a matter of waiting until the system updates on its own?

• Approved status
• Your GitHub account is still verified as a student.
• No secondary message saying, “Benefits will be applied soon”.
• If it still shows “pending” or doesn’t list active benefits, continue with the steps below.

2. Try These Account Sync Fixes(Sometimes your account needs to refresh its token or session for the benefits to apply)

• Log out of GitHub and back in again.
• Clear your browser cache or use incognito mode.
• Try on another device or browser, just in case local settings are blocking some scripts.
• Ensure your GitHub email matches the one used for verification (e.g., your .edu or institutional email).

3. Directly Contact GitHub Education Support
   Since it’s been several days, and your approval is confirmed, you should now escalate the issue to GitHub Education Support.

Category: “GitHub Student Developer Pack”
Issue type: “I was approved, but can't access the benefits”

Don't worry, the waiting time may vary depending on different factors, such as the volume of requests; it usually takes a few days, but sometimes it can take a little longer, even a couple of weeks.
