Can't Reuse Student Email for New GitHub Account Due to Old Account Access Loss

Hi everyone,

Hi,
I lost access to my old GitHub account (Nugrah24) where I previously used my student email.
I now have a new account (nugrahn0123) and I would like to reuse the same student email to apply for the Student Developer Pack.
However, I am getting an error saying the email has already been used.
Since I can’t unlink the email from the old account myself, is there any way I can proceed?

I still have access to my student email and can verify ownership.

Hello why did you loose the access?

If you still have access to your student email just reset he password and access your old account.

Unfortunately, student benefits can't be transferred from one account to another, even if you have unliked the email address associated with the previous account.

It’s not possible to transfer Global Campus benefits over from one GitHub account to another.

However, you are able to merge your accounts, but the account with the benefits would be the main account. You can add your non-academic email from the previous account to the account containing the academic email. If you desire you can then rename this account once merged. For more details check out out the merging of your personal accounts documentation.

I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Two-factor authentication recovery" and ask if it's possible to recover your former account.
