You can earn GitHub badges (also called achievements) by completing specific actions on the platform. Some common ways to get them:

If I were starting out and wanted to earn GitHub achievements (badges), I'd focus on using GitHub regularly and trying things like:

• Opening and merging pull requests
• Getting reactions on discussion comments
• Co-authoring commits with others
• Starring and contributing to public repositories
• Exploring special events or programs (e.g., Arctic Code Vault)

I also found https://githubachievements.com/ really useful to track which ones I already have and which are still locked.
