Hi @TiagoSchr, First, I recommend that you remove your payment method from the billing info, as it's not really required for users with the " I also recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select " |

Hi everyone,
Hello,
⠀
My GitHub Pro for Students plan was approved on June 14, 2025, and the free GitHub Copilot benefit has been working fine until now.
⠀
However, today (August 1, 2025), I noticed that the system is charging me for premium Copilot requests (currently $0.16), even though I’m supposed to have 300 free premium requests per month under the student plan.
⠀
It seems like the system is not applying the 300 free requests and is charging directly for the additional ones (at $0.04 each).
⠀
My student plan is still active, so I believe this might be an error with the monthly renewal.
⠀
Could you please look into this and fix the billing issue, restoring the free Copilot access as per the student benefit?
⠀
Also, I noticed that only the “Additional paid premium requests enabled” setting is active in my account, but the free premium requests are not being applied.
There is no way to confirm or manage this behavior in the “Budgets and Alerts” section, which means I can’t prevent these charges manually.
Please check if the 300 monthly free premium requests were properly renewed with the plan cycle, and let me know how to ensure that only the free quota is used before any billing happens.
