My university has incorrect domain information in github education

Hi everyone,

I am a professor at Portucalense University Infante D. Henrique.
My e-mail address is *@upt.pt
All the professors here have an e-mail address *@upt.pt while the student's e-mail address is *@alunos.upt.pt

When I try to apply for a teacher's license in github, the following error shows up:

We require applicants of Portucalense University Infante D. Henrique to use one of these school-issues email addresses to apply:

alunos.upt.pt

So, it seems github is not allowing teachers to get their licenses, only students. Can someone from github staff fix this please?

Hi @Portus-Cale,

To solve this, you have to contact support by opening a ticket here, select "My selected school has incorrect or incomplete information e.g. domains or campus location" and explain the issue with your academic email domain.

Hi @davevad93. I tried to do that, but github only allows persons or entities with paid accounts to open tickets :(

Hi. I had already tried that. When you click on "continue" you start a chat with copilot. You cannot submit the ticket unless it is a premium account.

I see @Portus-Cale, support may have changed that recently, as it was previously possible to do so.

Anyway, if you have finally managed to submit your application and it has been approved, you'll have to wait before you can claim your benefits.

The waiting time may vary depending on different factors, such as the volume of requests; it usually takes a few days, but sometimes it can take a little longer, even a couple of weeks.
