Choosing My Path in AI: Agentic AI, Cybersecurity, or Data Analysis?

I’m currently an undergraduate student with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, and I’m exploring potential career paths within this vast and evolving field. I’m deeply interested in three main areas:

1. Agentic AI – Building intelligent agents that can reason, plan, and take autonomous actions.
2. Cybersecurity – Understanding how AI can both defend and attack systems, with a growing interest in ethical hacking and vulnerability detection.
3. Data Analysis – Making sense of complex data using machine learning, visualization, and statistical techniques.

All three excite me in different ways , but I’m at a point where I’d love to hear advice from professionals, students, or researchers :

• What factors should I consider when choosing between these fields?
• Which area currently has the strongest job prospects and growth potential?
• How transferable are skills between these domains?
• And most importantly, what do you enjoy most (or least) about working in one of these areas?

• The skills are somewhat transferable — Python, ML fundamentals, and data handling are relevant across all three.
• Lastly, try small projects in each domain — it's the best way to discover your true interest.
