I'm trying to accomplish something, but I'm not sure if it is possible.

When a PR is opened, I have a validation job. The output of the validation is a job_id that I want to later use for a deployment job. I don't think there is a way to share outputs between workflows, and that seems complicated anyways. What I need to happen is for the validation to run and then for it to wait until the PR is merged before continuing, using the output from the first step.

Is there a way to do this? Maybe by dispatching a workflow, or something similar? Let me know if anyone has done something similar in the past.
