I'm trying to accomplish something, but I'm not sure if it is possible.
When a PR is opened, I have a
validation
job. The output of the validation is ajob_id
that I want to later use for adeployment
job. I don't think there is a way to share outputs between workflows, and that seems complicated anyways. What I need to happen is for thevalidation
to run and then for it to wait until the PR is merged before continuing, using the output from the first step.Is there a way to do this? Maybe by dispatching a workflow, or something similar? Let me know if anyone has done something similar in the past.
