I’m excited to share that we’ve just shipped some exciting updates to our Copilot category today. Here’s what’s new:

🏠 A Dedicated Copilot Space

We’ve grown the Copilot category into its own home, making it more visible and easier to navigate. You’ll now find two sub‑categories:

• 💬 Copilot Conversations: A place to ask questions, share feedback, troubleshoot issues, swap tips, and brainstorm ideas with fellow users. Every chat here helps us all learn and improve.
• 🗞️ Copilot Announcements and News: Your go‑to spot for official updates, product launches, community campaigns, and all the must‑know news straight from our team.

This sounds very promising. Github really needed a UI overhaul.
Like there's just too much of everything, trust me when I say that it needs improvement when I feel lost.
Because my work is basically code, read code, fix everything related to being able to code on a computer whether it being a PC with Windows, Linux or a Mac.

Also Github is basically the first thing I've come across in my 20+ year long career in IT that I couldn't figure out instantly without "RTFM" on my own (+8 years as a hobby as a kid running Debian with Fluxbox with my own custom compiled kernels).

If there was no AI like CoPilot and/or ChatGPT available to help out then begin using Github might seriously have been added to my top 10 list of hardest things I've done ever in IT haha!

Even though I've worked for IBM, Astrazeneca and companies similar to those and was also part of a small team who built the Swedish IRS data center.
Been using Bitcoin and crypto for over a decade and worked with everything from repairing laptops to printers to building special PC's either for crazy performance or for GPU clusters etc. and add to that setting up countless domain/server/network infrastructures over the years and currently work at a STEM Uni with custom solutions for research teams like GPU clusters and sensitive data storage etc.

Even made pretty nice looking websites in notepad using CSS and Java scripts when broadband wasn't even invented.

My work and hobbies make it so that I should spend about 80% of my time here but yeah TLDR the UI is not only terrible for beginners, it's slow even when you get used to it if you compare it to how it should be working when the most basic stuff is handling directories (repo's) and file management.

TLDR = If a guy like me have a hard time to get going a junior dev must be like, is this a maze, simulation or really what I'm going to use everyday at work for the foreseeable future? :D
