Hi Team,

I want to know if it's possible to add Copilot as a code reviewer to a pull request in Azure Devops. Kindly recommend a workaround if such feature isn't available.

Considering we pay for Copilot for our devs we get very little value as Azure DevOps users. I would like to see Azure DevOps supported by Copilot rather than just getting a few bits in Visual Studio.

Because a complete switching from Azure DevOps to GitHub is not possible for us (a lot of disadvantages).

We are planning to move to GitHub because of these reasons and because Microsoft recommends it.
Can you elaborate on the disadvantages why you wouldn't?

We too would have a hard time switching from ADO to GitHub. A Copilot extension for ADO for user story & test plan creation (as attempted in the previously linked extension codebase, that I cannot get working) as well as code review for Pull Request integration, overall code security, smell, et al (similar to SonarQube) is our dream scenario.

One of our architects built a custom AI code review tool using ADO's webhooks and AWS bedrock backed by Claude LLM. It is in pilot phase right now but looks promising so far. From what I can say, it is not hard to build one when compared to waiting for MS to integrate copilot in ADO.

Give us GitHub Senior Copilot for Azure DevOps PR reviews. Enterprises will pay for it. PRs are such a bottleneck now.
