Hide/Remove Minimize and Restore buttons

Hiya!

I have the minimize and maximize buttons on many of my windows.
They are inert, and so I should remove them.

Had a look online and no-one else seems to have them, so maybe I turned them on by accident.
Any ideas where to look?

Can you try to change your gtk theme on nwg-look and I think you can hide the buttons in qt6ct

I've spent some time now trying lot's of different themes and I think I'm learning that the bug is part of GTK3.0. I'm getting lot's of weird behaviors around those buttons in all sorts of themes from Catppuccin to breeze to adw-gtk. I'll keep researching, but I don't think this is related to your dot files.

Should I see a theme called qt6ct?
I have three themes: Breeze, Breeze Dark, and Granite. None of them seem to make a big difference and all of them have the button.

P.S. am I asking questions in the right place?
I did have two more questions but I don't want to saturate the repository if there is a better place to be communicating with the community.

Found an error message which seems promising.

Nautilus was an example of a window where I had those weird buttons I shouldn't have.
I decided to run it from terminal to try and get any feedback and that turned out to be a good move.

Not sure what a "AdwStyleManager:color-scheme" is.
Did some search engine work and found this dialect-app/dialect#217
Maybe I need to run an upgrade?
