Does simply importing @sentry/profiling-node affect formance?

My logic is something like

import { nodeProfilingIntegration } from '@sentry/profiling-node';

if (PROFILE === true) {
  plugins.push(nodeProfilingIntegration())
}

, does this have any negative side-effects when PROFILE is false?

I suppose this depends on your setup. If you have tree-shaking set up with a bundler, and PROFILE is a constant, it should be fully tree shaken out and not have any bundle size impact at all. Else, it will be bundled in possibly but should not affect performance, it should not have any side effects!
