Hi, a similar feature has been requested before. I didn't implement it because I did not think that many people would need it. Your request shows that there is more interest than I expected. I will look into implementing this feature. |

Hi, geoip-shell v0.7.3 supports specifying regions (ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, AFRINIC, LACNIC) along with specifying country codes. A mix of country codes and regions is supported as well. |

I didn't reply before, but really, thank you for the great improvement! I have a question that's not clear to me from the documentation, is it possible to blacklist a region (ie APNIC) and whitelist a single country (ie japan)? I'm not sure if I can mix whitelists and blacklists. Thank you. |

Hello,
first of all, thank you for a great tool!
I have an idea that could make the tool usage more comfortable - allow to blacklist / whitelist countries by continent. The tool could keep internal lists of countries per continent - I'm thinking for example North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania; and you could just specify to blacklist South America, and all countries from South America would be added to the blacklist.
Ideally it would work with specific countries as well, so for example, I could do: blacklist Asia, but at the same time whitelist Japan.
What do you think?
When looking for datasets that would have paired country codes with continents, I only found this, maybe it could be a good starting point:
