Support for MacOS

no, there are no plans for that at the moment.
I am using a Mac to work on openbsw, but do so with a Linux VM.

@vtz I'm currently using a Linux vm on my Mac and that works well. but @ThoFrank is currently experimenting with building the POSIX version under macOS directly.

I am preparing a patch for enabling clang support (just Linux for now). This also includes a change to platforms/posix/bsp/bspInterruptsImpl/src/interrupts/suspendResumeAllInterrupts.cpp to not rely on gettid() == getpid() to check if the current thread is the main thread.

But there are two issues remaining:

1. The FreeRTOS Posix port needs to be updated.
2. estdint.h doesn't compile with llvm's libc++ (on Linux and MacOS) if included from within an extern "C" block.

Issue 2 was also already solved in #59 by not including estdint.h in the place it blew up.

The first issue I had was that the cmake will not recognize the assembler version id - https://gitlab.kitware.com/cmake/cmake/-/issues/22995.

Second is related to the cansocket, which is not supported in MacOS.

I didn't reach those issues you mention yet, @ThoFrank .

Hi again, sorry it took so long to create the PR. Had some issues with internal tooling. It's up now: #59

I didn't hit the issues you are talking about. But I manage the dependencies with nix/devenv not homebrew.
