Summary

This is a follow-up to the pull request #6477. The message nearby_search_hint should be visible as a placeholder in the search box in the Nearby screen, but it's not actually visible.

Note: I'm somewhat of a beginner in this project, so I might be misunderstanding something. What is certain is that I tried various ways to actually see this string in the app, and nothing worked.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Nearby.
2. Go to the search box.

Expected behaviour

"Bridge, museum, hotel" is supposed to be visible as a placeholder.

Actual behaviour

There is no placeholder.
