upstream the "show replies" feature to newpipe or NPSB

having the ability to see comment repiles is that one thing missing for me to get the full youtube feel, it would be amazing to make a PR to newpipe or newpipe sponserblock to add this feature to version 0.24

Unfortunately it is not possible, as this feature is actually taken from a rejected upstream pr #8443. As it is rejected, the thing is not "do not have", but "decline to have", so I can do nothing about it. The same scenario also applies to NBSP - they can just merge it if they really want it, but they didn't do that.
