Thanks for the suggestion, but I won't be implementing this. Sharing already allows integration with external downloaders like ytdlnis for features such as chapters and SponsorBlock. Modifying the built-in download behavior to redirect or mimic that would break expectations and isn't appropriate. |

I guess this app could use intents to interoperate with external YouTube downloaders. Example: https://github.com/deniscerri/ytdlnis?tab=readme-ov-file#-connect-with-third-party-apps-using-intents
Why: since those downloaders have a different backend, it's easier to just have an intent based integration rather than reimplementing their features (like chapter and thumbnail handling and sponsorblock handling during download) here. Also, while one can easily share a URL to them to download, one can easily forget about that use the built in downloader instead and suddenly notice that the downloaded video doesn't have chapters too late (happened with me).
