For some mods (e.g. vintage delight) it would be helpful to let certain trees/plants be "plantable" the vanilla way (i.e. mushrooms, because in vintage delight you need the vanilla ones for composting), while still having all the other ones be only dynamictree-sapling. That's why it would be nice if it was a config option to set a sapling replacement white-/blacklist.
P.S.: I also feel in the example of mushrooms specifically it does make sense to have the little ones in the world as well not always growing into the huge ones
