Issues adding HOTP via URL

Using Authenticator version 8.0.1 on Google Chrome version 138.0.7204.92

When adding an HOTP via URL, it seems to automatically set things up to advance like it's a TOTP code and thus request a new code every 30 seconds. Being that this is a counter based HOTP, getting a new code every 30 seconds is NOT desired.

If I enter things using "manual entry" and select "counter based", things are fine. However, I cannot seem to get a counter based HOTP to properly import using the "Import OTP URLs" option.
